After eating
Often Al Hamichya after grain foods, and Borei Nefashos after rice. A large amount of some grain foods may call for Birkat Hamazon.
The bracha afterward isn't decided only by the bracha before — it can depend on what you ate, how much, and how quickly. An after-bracha is said only after a minimum amount. When unsure, ask your rav.
